About
Thai Airways is the flag carrier of Thailand which is headquartered in Chatuchak District, Bangkok. The airline once flew the world's longest non-stop route between Bangkok, Los Angeles and New York City. With a fleet size of 80, the airline connects a network of 74 destinations. Thai Airways was a joint venture between Scandinavian Airlines and Thai Airways Company.
Alliance
Star Alliance was founded in May 1997, it is one of the world's largest global airline alliances. Headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, currently have 27 member airlines who have over 670 million passengers per year.
Thai Airways allows guests to earn and redeem miles across Star Alliance's carriers airlines.
Passengers can access lounges depending on the type of flight ticket and frequent flyer status or class of travel.

Class of Travel
Thai Airways provides three classes of travel
Royal First Class- Travel elegantly in the First class cabins of Thai Airways which offers customers spacious seating, selection of fine champagne and silken caviar as a welcome greeting. All guest receive a tailored travel kit which provides a range of toiletries and accessories.
Royal Silk Class- Thai Airways redefines working onboard with the access to exclusive lounges and internet service which is available at an additional fee.
Economy Class- Economy class offers guests with personal pillow and blanket along with eye shades and earplug which can be requested onboard. The wide seats allow for generous legroom and ample overhead storage bin.
Baggage allowance
Economy class passengers are allowed 7kg free baggage allowance for hand luggage and 30 kgs for checked-in luggage.
Royal class passengers are allowed 7kg free baggage allowance for hand luggage and 40 kgs for checked-in luggage.

Frequent Flyer Programme
Royal Orchid Plus allows members to earn miles and avail exclusive services while flying with any of Thai and Royal Orchid Plus partners. Members can spend/redeem their miles in Thai, Star Alliance airline by upgrading seats and can also book hotels using miles.
In-flight Services
Thai Airways provides seamless entertainment for all cabin class with 1000+ hours of movies, short films and games on personal screens which also feature live new. Specially crafted authentic Thai and international cuisines are available onboard, passengers can either pre-book their meal or request for the buy-on-board menu. Meals are matched with handpicked wines, fine spirits, aged cognac and an array of beverages. All special meals need to be requested 48 hours prior to departure.
Check-in
Domestic Flights - Passengers can check-in 24 hrs to 2 hrs prior to the scheduled departure time.
International Flights - Passengers can check-in 24 hrs to 2 hrs prior to the scheduled departure time.
Onboard Support
Thai Airways provides assistance for passengers with special needs. Wheelchairs, airport assistance during check in are provided by on ground staff. Passengers can choose a service that best suits their need. Expectant mothers and parents of unaccompanied children are requested to read the airlines policy prior to boarding.
Refund & Cancellation
Passengers can cancel their booking either through Thai Airways sales’ offices or website. All cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee.
